Each piece is hand-cut from a single slice of Guatemalan jadeite, a stone celebrated for its beauty, depth, and cultural heritage. The "Galaxy" color displays golden pyrite inclusions suspended in jet black jadeite with light streaks — a rare natural effect that gives the stone a starry, galactic presence. Its tight crystal structure and polished pyrite allow light to bounce off these inclusions, creating quick flashes like sparkling stars.
Shaped and polished entirely by hand in our small Ohio workshop using traditional lapidary methods. The jade is respectfully gathered from the Motagua River Valley — the same region where ancient Maya artisans once carved their jade masterpieces. No heavy machinery, no modern extraction — just careful hand-collection, patience, and intention. Every contour, bevel, and polish is done slowly by hand, giving each piece its soft, organic flow.
