Carved from genuine New Zealand Pounamu — also known as NZ greenstone — this piece honors a stone revered for centuries by Māori artisans. The toki form, originally fashioned as a working adze, has come to symbolize strength, determination, and the ability to overcome life's challenges. Shaped and polished entirely by hand in our small Ohio workshop using traditional lapidary methods. The Pounamu itself comes from the rivers and valleys of Te Waipounamu (the South Island), gathered with respect and care from areas where this treasured stone has been sourced for generations. No heavy machinery was involved.
